A3! BL: Chikage Utsuki × Itaru Chigasaki

CW: OOC (maybe), act 8 spoilers, angst

Itaru and Chikage kept their intimate relationship without the other members know. They privately talked about what happened when Chikage and Izumi went missing, about how Itaru was actually going to call the police and now Chikage has been out for a month and Itaru grew extremely worried again that causes him to reduce his focus on gaming.

PART I

Hard keyboard typing can be heard throughout the room at 3 AM as Itaru was trying to finish off the final boss in the pre-released game. He drank his coffee while still performing the combos in one hand and returned it beside his other desk. A few minutes later, he finally won the battle and immediately slumped back on his gaming chair, he gazes on his phone beside the monitor with a discontented sigh escaping from his lips.

It's been a while since he and Chikage slept beside each other. Itaru knew that his senpai has been gone out of the dorm for a month and a half, and he knows it's not something that he usually does, unlike his late or early morning arrivals. Ever since they've been together, he still can't help but think about his senpai's other work. Although Chikage didn't say anything specifically, Itaru was too clever to notice but it wasn't enough and he wasn't sure if his senpai's really doing anything shady or something like he did in Zafra.

Itaru leaned forward to get his phone and tried to dial Chikage once more, he's been doing this for the past month and Itaru might think he'll go insane for worrying about him. “Senpai uhh good morning, I know you come home at this time but I'm sure you're still busy..” Itaru chuckled sadly “Why else would you ignore me?” He frowned at the sudden question with the thought he might be overthinking “...or is this how you ask for some space?”

“I'm fine, Chigasaki.”

Itaru bolted out of his chair when he heard his voice, he looked at the screen and put the phone back on his ear again “What the hell were you doing, Senpai? You didn't say anything about not going home for a month and a half.” He wanted to tell him that he didn't believe when Chikage said he's fine. He wanted to tell him to come home to him and in hopes, they'd still be together and everything's still going to be fine but he wanted to stay calm and lessen the burden he felt with his senpai. “...Anything that's safe that's for sure. You don't have to worry about me. It's just that there's a pile of work right now and I can't go on back and forth so I'm staying in another place.” Chikage replied in a tired tone.

“You sure it's anything that's safe?” Itaru questioned and he heard a soft chuckle at the other line “Yes, it's very safe so don't worry.” He wanted to say he misses him very much as it's the first time in a while they talked again but didn't since Chikage might be in the middle of something “I'm glad to know that you're okay. Don't do any stupid shit, alright? I love you.. Senpai.” he slightly blushed when he said the last few words and he heard Chikage clear his throat “Alright, I'll see you later.” he then hangs up and Itaru didn't hear him say those words again which he slumped his shoulders and silently grumbled “Such an unromantic senpai.”
